Paper Tubes & Cores

Erdie Industries makes paper tubes for use as spacers, covers and protectors with a wide range of dimensions. All of our products, including those listed below, can have your choice of color or printed wrap and/or liner, with a variety of secondary operations.

Paper cores are similar to paper tubes except for the way they’re used. They come in a variety of wall thicknesses and sizes for industrial use such as tape cores or for wrapping other materials including paper, plastic, film, rubber etc.

Our full-color high-speed printer allows for virtually endless printing possibilities depending on customer needs. Plies can be printed for either liners or outer wrap, on any color paper.

We have machinery for customized notching, slitting and punching for most sizes and wall thicknesses. We work with our customers to create custom processes and to reduced cost through optimization of the production line.

We can ship our products either in cartons (via delivery service or freight), stretch-wrapped on pallets, tied in bundles, stacked on racks (provided by customer) or stacked directly in tractor trailers. Please contact us if you have special shipping requirements.

Includes both returnable and non-returnable cores used by pulp and paper mills.

Includes cores used by converters within the paper industry.

Cloth & Floor Covering Cores

Includes cores for woven, knitted, or non-woven fabrics of all types. Includes mill and converter applications and cores for narrow fabrics. Floor covering cores include those used for the winding and shipping of carpet, vinyl, etc.

Film Cores

Includes cores used by producers or converters of these types of materials.

Metal, Foil & Strapping Cores

Includes cores used by producers or converters of these types of materials. Strapping cores include cores used by producers of metal and plastic strapping, etc.

Household Cores

Includes cores for retail packages of gift wrap, toilet tissues, foil, film, etc.

Mailing & Packaging Tubes

Includes mailing and packaging tubes with and without metal ends and other types of closures and tubes for rods, bars, extrusions, etc.

Construction Tubes & Concrete Molds

Includes large diameter cores for forming round concrete bases.

Tape & Label Cores

Includes cores for all types of pressure-sensitive tapes. Also cores used by label manufacturers.

Yarn Carriers

Includes all spiral and convolute tubes for winding of yarns and threads. Excludes carriers intended for reuse manufactured from non-paper materials.

Spools/Reels

Includes all cores used for the assembly of spools, reels and ribbon blocks. Industries served include extruders, wire & cable companies, rope companies and the fiber optic industry.

Roofing Cores

Includes cores for use by manufacturers of roofing products, such as fiberglass mat, rubber membrane, etc.

All Other Uses

Includes all other end uses not identified above, such as business machine cores, storage tubes, display tubes, electric/electronic applications, pain roller cores, pallet legs, corner posts, novelties, etc.
